Is Trump withholding coronavirus funding to stop mail-in voting?

Nationally, there’s so much going on I’m not sure what to talk about.

There’s the president disrespecting a black woman named Kamala by suggesting she wasn’t born in this country. And just like it was when he did it to Obama, it’s a lie. There’s the injustice department claiming whites and Asians faced discrimination when a few black kids got into Yale. That’s a lie. There’s the president ordering mail in ballots for him and his wife while claiming mail in voting is fraudulent. Because too often what he says … is a lie.

But here’s one thing that’s true. The president is willing to hold up funding to deal with a killer virus … just to stop you from mailing in your vote. Think about that for a minute. Tens of millions of Americans are unemployed. Over 5 million have tested positive for the virus. Nearly 170,000 Americans have died. And the president is willing to hold up relief money just to keep you from voting.

But don’t take my word for it. Here’s what Trump said on Fox News: “The Democrats want $3.5 billion for something that will turn out to be fraudulent,” he said. “That’s election money basically. They want $25 billion, billion, for the post office. Now, they need that money in order to have the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots… But if they don’t get those two items, that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting.”

That’s what the president said. Bottom line? The President don’t want you to vote, because if everyone votes, he loses. So he’s willing to hold back corona relief that could save tens of thousands of lives, just so he can suppress millions of votes. Is that what you want in the White House? Me either. So do yourself a favor. Vote.

Like everyone else, I was surprised that Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction was overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. It’s one thing for me to believe that Cosby was treated unfairly by a racist criminal justice system. It’s quite another thing for the state’s highest court to say Cosby’s due process rights were violated. Read on @whyy
