The road to hell is paved with apple fritters

Not only did the Amish women have sticky buns. They had chocolate-covered bacon, homemade ice cream and hand-rolled pretzels. They had a candy store, a petting zoo and carriage rides. But, beyond those wholesome attractions, they had the mother of all temptations: doughnuts.

After spaying, time to pick up Styx

It was May 2011, and my kids snookered me into breaking my no-pet rule to let them have tadpoles. For those who’ve never watched the Discovery Channel, tadpoles are baby frogs. They look like black sperm.

His stepdaughter is driving him crazy

I’m old school and my 10-year-old stepdaughter is a hot mess. She’s spoiled to the point where I want to choke her at times. She can be sweet, but her attitude and laziness is something that an old schooler like me can’t handle. What should I do?

Saving your marriage from divorce

Marriage is that thing that takes place when your spouse has put on work boots and used your last nerve as a trampoline. To save it you need a go-to move. My wife has one. I call it her bread and butter.

I’m a huge Jalen Hurts fan, but this loss is on him. I know Scott fumbled and Reagor dropped that last pass, but you can’t throw 3 interceptions in a game. Hopefully he learns from this and stops forcing passes into coverage. #frustrating
The acquittal of #KyleRittenhouse opens the door for white vigilantes to kill anyone they want to. It also puts a spotlight on the judge’s biased actions during the trial.
God is so good. Two years ago today we founded @ManUpPHL with a citywide meeting on gun violence. Tonight we celebrate that with a dinner and strategy session with mentors and mentees who are working together to change lives. We are fully funded, we have committed volunteers, and we have a Listening to the Streets initiative that gets brothers off the streets and into jobs. This week we release our first white paper based on that program. We work to end gun violence one life at a time. Can’t wait to see what the next two years brings!
